Day 7 of blogging:

64 hours without power; however our neighborhood is beginning to see progress. Generator turned off, fridge and fish tank plugged into my neighbor house. We enjoyed a great night of sleep, feeling some relief this is almost over. Without the noise of the TV and stress from the news, the hubby seems a little more at peace. I was happy to see the excitement from my neighbors as their power was restored. So grateful we have marinated the chicken to barbecue yesterday in the backyard and seen this beautiful view. Also, we are grateful that when the power went off, the weather is nice, opposed to a polar vortex winter. #itsthelittlethings #sobermoments

Our friend Chris and his cousin, an electrician, are working on the weather head that provides service to our house. We heard of our neighbors in the same experience receiving estimates of $1400 to do the same work.

I can’t believe how everything is falling into place. Actually, I can. God’s got us! The hubby and I stopped fighting and he’s no longer threatening to end our relationship. We have a ton of work ahead of us. I am happy with the little moments like these.
